RUSSIA IS TIGHTENING ITS GRIP ON CRIMEA

The article which appeared yesterday on the 'VICE' news website got me very scared. It basically talks about the beginning of the war. That is the link to the story: http://www.vice.com/read/russia-is-tightening-its-grip-on-crimea.
First of all, I must say that knowing the history of my country (Lithuania) as being the part of Soviet Union in the past, also knowing how hard it was to 'get rid of the Russia' and how many people risk and lost their lives for it, I feel very sympathetic for the Ukrainian people at the moment.
The war is terrifying, because if the war does happen, conceivably, Russia would occupy or at least try to do that to my country as well. Again...
Even if they do not, Ukraine is close enough to my country and my country would suffer from it too.
People in Lithuania are already panicking about that. Yesterday, the social website 'Facebook' was full of statuses about the coming war. The media in the UK is not making that much fuss about the war coming, as much Lithuanian media does.
Going back to Ukraine, it says on the article that Russia had planned three-stated occupying operation. The first one is taking care of airports, blocking the roads and all the transport and communication nodes. That allowed Russia to take care of people's moving in and out of the country and manipulate the Ukrainian government.
''In the second phase, Russian troops spread across Crimea and moved into position to forestall any armed response from the Ukrainian forces already in the area'' ( http://www.vice.com/read/russia-is-tightening-its-grip-on-crimea)
The third state is just to go and get their forces into positions and start defending their guns.
Therefore, Russia has started to bringing heavier units to Ukraine (Crimea).
The Ukrainian army on its own is large enough to eject the Russian troops from Crimea but their ability to stand against Russian force in many ways is doubtful.
Lets just hope this whole terrifying ordeal doesn't ruin or destroy lives...
